Employer profile
Third-generation family-owned Kansas City builder — 'Safety First. Quality Always. Since 1932.'
Haren Companies traces to 1932, when C.W. 'Pappy' Haren Sr. began renovating bank-owned properties in Depression-era Kansas City; his post-war partnership with Hal Laughlin became HarenLaughlin Construction, and the group recently rebranded as Haren Companies. Still third-generation family-owned and led by CEO Wells Haren, the Lenexa, Kansas-based group spans HarenLaughlin Construction, Haren Contracting, HL Restoration, and TruePlane Concrete. Its work covers multifamily, senior living, mixed-use, office/retail, municipal, industrial, and historic-renovation projects across the Kansas City metro, including the restoration of downtown's Aladdin Hotel.
