Job Summary
Kiewit is seeking an Electrical Construction Field Engineer to support field execution, engineering coordination, safety, quality, scheduling, and cost control on complex industrial EPC projects.
Project Details
The Kiewit Industrial District delivers projects across data centers, mineral processing, energy, and water. This role may be assigned to project sites throughout the United States, with office rotations in Denver, Colorado, or Lenexa, Kansas.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate electrical planning, installation, procurement, contract administration, progress reporting, and financial tracking.
- Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
- Perform material takeoffs, quantity calculations, cost estimates, and installation progress measurements.
- Prepare work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analyses.
- Support subcontractor and vendor coordination while developing supervision and communication skills.
- Track costs, materials, equipment scheduling, quality control, safety programs, and owner relations.
- Collaborate with superintendents, field engineers, and electrical craft teams while providing team leadership and mentoring.
Required Experience
- Degree in construction management or a related field.
- At least three years of electrical construction experience.
- Knowledge of construction safety, federal requirements, OSHA requirements, and the National Electrical Code.
- Ability to understand schedules, cost control, owner specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Microsoft Office experience; familiarity with SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log, or Primavera P6 is advantageous.
- Strong organization, communication, attention to detail, independent judgment, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to access all areas of construction sites and work in varied climates and environments.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
