Job Summary

Kiewit Water Facilities South is seeking a General Superintendent to lead field operations, crews, and project execution in the West Texas area. The role oversees work planning, scheduling, cost management, quality, safety, and coordination with project partners.

Kiewit Water Facilities South delivers water treatment, wastewater treatment, and desalination projects across North America. The district also supports major infrastructure work, including roads, bridges, and dams.

Responsibilities

• Direct Foremen, General Foremen, craft workers, and other field personnel.
• Coach and develop Junior Superintendents.
• Manage labor rates, contract administration, project meetings, client relationships, and issue resolution.
• Monitor job costs, cash flow, change orders, project completion, and turnover.
• Maintain field records and complete performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Review staffing recommendations and approve or reject promotions through the General Foreman level.
• Work safely and support schedule requirements, including overtime and weekends when needed.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of construction experience, including 5 or more years in superintendent or field leadership positions.
• Experience managing project cost and schedule; infrastructure experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership, safety, negotiation, planning, communication, organizational, and contract administration skills.
• Ability to learn company policies, procedures, and software and resolve field problems independently.
• Reliable attendance, timely productivity, and professional communication in team settings.
