Job Summary

JE Dunn’s Aptitude group is seeking a Superintendent 2 to lead moderately complex intelligent integration and low-voltage technology projects in Tempe. The role oversees field execution, trade coordination, safety, quality, scheduling, and project completion.

Project Details

Work involves low-voltage technology systems and infrastructure, including structured cabling, access control, video surveillance, fire alarm, audiovisual, building automation, nurse call, infant security, RTLS, phone systems, and network electronics across multiple building markets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project production, sequencing, scheduling, quality, safety, risks, materials, equipment, and closeout activities.
  • Coordinate clients, project teams, design partners, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades.
  • Lead low-voltage subcontractors and company staff while developing work plans and monitoring self-perform productivity.
  • Coordinate pathways, conduit, and back-box infrastructure before cabling and device installation.
  • Maintain project records, daily reports, cost information, schedules, drawings, logs, and inspection documentation.
  • Support project pursuits, change negotiations, review meetings, workforce planning, and project preplanning.
  • Configure and program project software for testing and troubleshooting when needed.

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of construction experience and 5 years working with Division 8, 23, 25, 27, or 28 systems.
  • At least 3 years of field supervision experience; 5 years of project management experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of low-voltage systems, construction means and methods, project processes, budgets, documentation, and schedule impacts.
  • Intermediate communication, presentation, Microsoft Office, trade, and low-voltage systems knowledge.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours.
