Job Summary

Barton Malow is hiring a General Superintendent to lead field delivery for a thermal construction project in Ashville, Ohio. This position directs site execution while coordinating with project staff, design professionals, consultants, trade partners, clients, and authorities.

Project Details

The role supports a thermal project and encompasses field coordination, constructability review, site logistics, scheduling, quality, safety, and trade partner management.

Responsibilities

• Lead jobsite safety, quality control, scheduling, and day-to-day field operations.
• Coordinate contractors and site labor to improve productivity and reduce work conflicts.
• Help prepare bid scopes, front-end documents, bidder communications, and contractor evaluations.
• Support project cost forecasting, change monitoring, and budget control with the Project Manager.
• Create logistics plans, establish the baseline schedule, lead pull-planning sessions, and issue six-week look-ahead updates.
• Report field conditions, progress, performance, and emerging issues to project leadership.
• Build productive relationships and resolve complex field, contractual, and trade partner issues.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering.
• At least 15 years of relevant construction experience, including thermal project experience.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, legal provisions, trade partner management, and field coordination.
• Demonstrated organization, adaptability, prioritization, communication, diplomacy, and conflict-resolution skills.
