Assistant Field Engineer (Hourly)

Job Summary

Holder Construction is seeking a full-time Assistant Field Engineer to support its Operations team on a project in Lancaster, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Operate total stations, transits, automatic levels, and related surveying equipment.
• Interpret construction drawings, maps, and diagrams.
• Set and mark stakes for slopes, grades, alignments, and other construction needs.
• Calculate and verify elevations, angles, distances, corners, and positions.
• Maintain survey equipment, field books, tools, and related records.
• Perform associated field and office engineering tasks.

Required Experience

• Two years of construction or surveying experience.
• Surveying mathematics knowledge, strong communication, time management, and computer skills.
• Ability to work outdoors, on uneven surfaces and at heights, including climbing ladders and scaffolds.
• Ability to remain mobile and alert, stand or walk for extended periods, and lift and carry 50 to 100 pounds frequently.
• Availability for overtime and weekend work and commitment to an OSHA-compliant work environment.
