Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

Garney Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support water and wastewater construction projects out of North Kansas City, Missouri. This role works across project management functions from scheduling and submittal review to field coordination and safety oversight.

Responsibilities

• Review and process shop drawings and maintain as-built documents.
• Work within the project scheduling system and perform detailed drafting.
• Serve as point of contact for owners and architects/engineers.
• Purchase materials and coordinate subcontractors.
• Survey job sites and complete daily and periodic progress reports.
• Track, audit, and project labor hours and oversee job site safety.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of construction experience, preferably in water or wastewater.
• Willingness to travel.
