Assistant Project Manager- Fire Life Safety Construction

Job Summary

Support construction project administration and partner with the Project Manager to coordinate project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage cost records, prepare billings, and help secure payments.
• Prepare and negotiate change orders, subcontract changes, bid packages, purchase orders, and rental agreements.
• Maintain project information in CMiC, write project procedures, and review plans for completeness and accuracy.
• Support bidding by soliciting and evaluating proposals.
• Supervise and train Project Engineers and clerical staff.

Required Experience

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Three to four years of construction experience, including field experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent.
• At least one year of scheduling and estimating experience.
• Strong understanding of plans and specifications, with effective communication and organizational skills.
