Assistant Project Manager - National Travel (December Grad)

Job Summary

Interstates is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for a December graduate to support industrial electrical, controls, automation, instrumentation, and engineering projects. The role offers hands-on training, mentorship, and a path toward project management leadership.

Project Details

Support industrial construction projects across the United States. Assigned projects typically run from six months to three years, with the assistant project manager remaining involved from project start through completion.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers, Superintendents, customers, and field crews in keeping projects on schedule.
• Learn to coordinate schedules, budgets, materials, RFIs, submittals, and logistics.
• Build working relationships with clients and project teams.
• Travel to and work from customer project sites nationwide.

Required Experience

• Expected graduation in December.
• Degree program in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organization, motivation, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel, relocate for projects, and learn through mentorship and field experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $70,000-$78,000.
