Assistant Project Manager - National Travel (May Grad)

Job Summary

Interstates is hiring a May graduate for an Assistant Project Manager role supporting industrial construction projects nationwide. The position offers hands-on learning, mentorship, and a development path toward project management.

Project Details

Support electrical construction, engineering, instrumentation, and automation work at customer sites across the United States. Assignments generally remain on one project from start to finish and typically last six months to three years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, customers, and field teams to support project delivery.
• Assist with schedules, budgets, materials, RFIs, submittals, and logistics.
• Build customer and team relationships while developing leadership skills through field experience.

Required Experience

• Expected to graduate in May.
• Studying construction management, engineering, business, project management, or a related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, motivation to solve problems, and willingness to learn.
• Willingness to travel and relocate anywhere in the United States for project assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $70,000-$78,000. Benefits include 401(k) with company match, health, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, holiday pay, bonus incentives, merit increases, and per diem/travel pay or FAVR program benefits when applicable.
