Assistant Project Manager - National Travel (May Grad)

Job Summary

Interstates is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for a hands-on early-career opportunity supporting industrial electrical, controls, automation, instrumentation, and engineering projects. May graduates will receive mentorship, leadership development, and a path toward Project Manager responsibilities.

Project Details

Assignments support industrial construction projects across the United States. Employees typically relocate to one customer project and remain with it through completion, with project durations generally ranging from six months to three years.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers, Superintendents, customers, and field crews in delivering projects.
• Learn to coordinate schedules, budgets, materials, RFIs, submittals, and logistics.
• Build relationships with customers and project teams while developing leadership skills.
• Travel to and work at customer project sites nationwide.

Required Experience

• Expected to graduate in May.
• Degree studies in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• Strong communication, organization, motivation, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn.
• Ability and willingness to relocate and travel nationally for project assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $70,000-$78,000 per year.
