Assistant Project Manager Plant

Job Summary

Garney is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of plant and infrastructure construction projects. This role partners with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and clients while developing project management expertise.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, forecasts, billing records, and contract documentation.
• Track submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement, project risks, and compliance requirements.
• Support field operations, subcontractor coordination, site visits, progress verification, and quality standards.
• Participate in project meetings and document decisions, action items, and follow-up needs.
• Communicate with project stakeholders and support safety and environmental compliance.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• One to three years of project coordination, construction, or field experience is preferred.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with project scheduling software and construction documents.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment and travel to project sites as needed.
• Interest in progressing toward a project management leadership role.
