Assistant Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Garney is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in McKinney, Texas, to support the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of water and wastewater construction projects while developing project management expertise.

Project Details

This role supports water and wastewater infrastructure projects and includes coordination with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, forecasts, billing records, and contract documentation.
• Track submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement, risks, and subcontractor performance.
• Participate in project meetings, record action items, and communicate updates among project partners.
• Visit jobsites to verify progress, support field operations, and monitor quality, safety, and environmental compliance.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
• One to three years of project coordination, construction, or field experience is preferred.
• Strong organization, communication, time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with scheduling software and construction documents.
• Ability to work collaboratively and travel to project sites as needed.
