Assistant Superintendent (Mission Critical)

Job Summary

Barton Malow is hiring an MEP Assistant Superintendent to support delivery of a mission-critical project near Philadelphia. The role works closely with project staff and trade partners to coordinate field execution, safety, quality, and schedule performance.

Project Details

This position supports a mission-critical data center project near Philadelphia and requires regular on-site presence at least five days per week, with openness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Support development of bid scopes, front-end documents, contractor selection, and post-bid coordination.
• Enforce site safety requirements, including pre-task planning and field compliance.
• Coordinate daily site labor and trade partner activities to reduce interference.
• Assist with cost control, forecasting, and review of contractor changes.
• Develop logistics plans, establish baseline schedules, and incorporate subcontractor input.
• Lead pull planning and provide progress updates with six-week look-ahead schedules.
• Report field issues, events, performance, and progress to project management while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering.
• At least three years of documented mission-critical data center experience from project inception through completion.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, contract awareness, and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to adapt to changing processes, assess complex issues, and resolve problems effectively.
