Job Summary
TIC, a Kiewit company, is seeking a Civil Superintendent to lead field operations for heavy civil and marine construction work in the Jacksonville and Savannah markets.
Project Details
The Marine and Heavy Civil District delivers public and private transportation projects, including docks, bridges, roads, bridge rehabilitation, foundations, erosion control, drainage structures, fabrication, maintenance, and concrete work.
Responsibilities
- Lead project delivery, field staff, foremen, and craft personnel while mentoring team members.
- Oversee contract administration, client meetings, job cost reporting, cash flow projections, and change orders.
- Maintain project records, including daily diaries, and develop completion and turnover plans.
- Support staffing decisions, performance reviews, promotions, and organizational improvements.
- Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining safety, productivity, and client relationships.
- Work overtime and weekends when project requirements demand.
Required Experience
- At least four years of construction experience, including three or more years in a superintendent or construction leadership role.
- Infrastructure experience with roads, bridges, dams, water or wastewater facilities, or similar work is preferred.
- Strong leadership, safety, planning, negotiation, contract administration, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must be able to access all areas of a construction site and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Regular attendance, safe work practices, deadline management, and effective teamwork are required.
