Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a Civil Superintendent to lead field operations for complex water and wastewater construction projects. The role is based with the Water Facilities South district and offers opportunities to work on projects across North America.

Project Details

The district delivers water treatment plants, wastewater treatment facilities, and desalination projects. Superintendents may relocate between project sites based on business needs, experience, and career development goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct craft execution through foremen while managing productivity, safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate field engineering, craft teams, subcontractors, other superintendents, and project leadership.
• Support schedule development, labor planning, material planning, and equipment requirements.
• Interpret construction documents and help ensure field work complies with drawings and specifications.
• Address workforce conflicts, scheduling issues, and company policies.

Required Experience

• At least five years overseeing self-performed concrete work in heavy civil construction.
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, safety requirements, scheduling, cost control, engineering documents, union agreements, and jurisdictional matters.
• Ability to supervise and evaluate craft performance while communicating effectively and meeting deadlines.
• Reliable attendance, willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed, and ability to work safely at varying locations and conditions.
