Job Summary

PCL Solar Constructors USA Inc. is seeking a Solar Site Field Engineer to support renewable energy construction projects in Colcord, Oklahoma, and other project locations. The role offers early-career exposure to field engineering, construction operations, project management, and quality control.

Project Details

Work supports utility-scale solar and renewable energy projects. Project assignments may occur in Oklahoma, Texas, Kentucky, Ohio, Georgia, Washington, and other states, with possible transfer to a subsequent project after completion.

Responsibilities

  • Support site safety orientations, inspections, hazard identification, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate workforce planning with the superintendent.
  • Maintain project records and document-control processes, including RFIs, shop drawings, changes, and billing support.
  • Assist with self-perform work by tracking crews, labor, and installed quantities.
  • Identify field issues and coordinate third-party inspections and site reviews.
  • Help develop, implement, and oversee quality plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
  • Build productive relationships with trade contractors, designers, inspectors, and other project partners.

Required Experience

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Entry-level field engineering or coordination experience preferred; relevant internships may qualify.
  • Knowledge of construction specifications, methods, self-perform and subcontracted work, equipment, temporary works, and scheduling.
  • Ability to apply construction principles, communicate clearly, prepare technical correspondence, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction-related software.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits

Per diem may be available to eligible traveling employees for temporary living expenses.
