Commissioning Manager

Job Summary

PCL is hiring a Commissioning Manager to support its growing national data center business unit. This employee-owner will lead commissioning and turnover activities from planning through final documentation and completion.

Project Details

The role supports data center construction with multidisciplinary systems completion work spanning mechanical, electrical, piping, civil, structural, and controls-related scopes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and report on commissioning plans, schedules, system completion records, punch lists, and turnover packages.
• Coordinate commissioning meetings and serve as the primary liaison with the owner’s commissioning and turnover representatives.
• Oversee subcontractor deliverables, system dossiers, inspections, documentation, and transfer-of-care or completion records.
• Verify compliance with owner commissioning requirements and contract obligations throughout project closeout.
• Lead, mentor, and train commissioning and turnover personnel, including development planning for direct reports.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of construction experience with substantial mechanical and electrical exposure.
• Completion of commissioning scopes on two or more data center projects.
• Post-secondary construction education or a related trade school certificate.
• Advanced experience with industrial construction, system completion, quality assurance, construction codes, and multidisciplinary turnover activities.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, isometrics, cable schedules, line designation tables, and P&IDs.
• Strong relationship-building and coordination skills with owners and key subcontractors.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $158,670-$193,930 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
