Concrete Superintendent

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking a Concrete Superintendent in Phoenix to lead field operations for complex water and wastewater infrastructure work. The role oversees concrete execution, project coordination, team development, safety, schedule, quality, and cost performance.

Project Details

The position supports Civil West projects involving cast-in-place concrete structures for water and wastewater infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Direct concrete crews, trade partners, and project personnel while maintaining safety, productivity, quality, and schedule expectations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, estimators, subcontractors, clients, consultants, labor representatives, and other site stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, baseline schedules, critical-path activities, and resource-loaded three-week lookaheads.
• Identify constructability concerns, work conflicts, contract risks, and opportunities affecting budget, forecasts, and profitability.
• Lead site meetings, maintain project documentation, and ensure work follows drawings, specifications, contracts, and company procedures.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certificate or related undergraduate or engineering degree.
• NCSO designation is required for applicable candidates; Gold Seal program enrollment is preferred.
• Approximately 10 years of progressive field supervision experience is preferred, including successful construction workforce leadership.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, specifications, safety and environmental requirements, scheduling, productivity, labor cost reporting, contracts, and risk management.
• Experience coordinating multiple work scopes and using scheduling, Microsoft Office, and operational systems.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship and transfers are unavailable.
