Construction Field Engineer Kiewit Offshore Services (KOS)

Job Summary

Kiewit Offshore Services is seeking a Construction Field Engineer to serve as a lead engineering resource at its Ingleside fabrication yard. The role supports field execution, project controls, safety, quality, and coordination with the Project Manager on complex offshore construction work.

Project Details

The KOS district fabricates structurally complex jackets and topsides for offshore oil drilling rigs at a large year-round yard near Corpus Christi.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications, calculate installed quantities, and support work plans, surveying, layouts, and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate material deliveries, work groups, subcontractors, schedules, and field operations.
• Participate in safety reviews, toolbox meetings, training, and Job Hazard Analysis preparation.
• Support takeoffs, engineering calculations, procurement, subcontracts, cost tracking, daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and customer submittals.
• Assist with estimating by reviewing bid documents, historical production data, project risks, materials, and quantities.

Required Experience

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• At least two years of construction field experience, including project or field engineering work.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents and identify discrepancies.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, initiative, safety focus, ethics, and teamwork.
• Ability to access all areas of a construction site and work in varied environments.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
