Construction Manager

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services is seeking a Construction Manager to lead complex construction work serving the Vail and Dillon, Colorado markets. This employee-owned company offers a leadership role with responsibility for project delivery, team development, and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for multiple smaller projects or a highly complex major project.
• Manage safety, budget, quality, schedule, profitability, design coordination, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Lead project teams, including direct and indirect staff, while developing employees through mentoring and training.
• Support estimating, proposals, presentations, preconstruction, and pursuit of new work.
• Coordinate design meetings, permits, shop drawings, and client approvals.
• Manage contracts and project documentation, and help resolve claims and disputes with owners and trade contractors.
• Administer complex subcontracts and purchase orders while identifying and mitigating risk.

Required Experience

• Postsecondary education or training in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of progressive construction experience in a leadership and mentoring capacity preferred.
• Estimating or related experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, building materials, specifications, safety, quality, codes, contracts, insurance, bonding, and legal requirements.
• Experience with varied project delivery methods, construction sequencing, project meetings, client presentations, and complex project organizations.
• Working knowledge of collective agreements and jurisdiction assignments for multi-trade sites.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $172,000-$220,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
