Construction Project Engineer Sports & Entertainment Market

Job Summary

Barton Malow Builders is seeking a Project Engineer to support sports and entertainment construction projects across its Carolinas market, including North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. The role works closely with project managers, superintendents, designers, owners, and trade contractors to support safe and efficient project delivery.

Project Details

The position supports high-profile, fast-paced sports and entertainment projects throughout the Carolinas and Georgia, with assignments determined by project needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical issues, site logistics, trade partner performance, and field activities.
• Communicate with architects, engineers, owners, and contractors regarding progress, changes, and coordination.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, meeting records, plan reviews, closeout documents, and turnover requirements.
• Assist with project schedules, contractor change quotations, and change order processing.
• Promote company safety policies and support a proactive jobsite safety culture.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• One to five years of professional construction or related industry experience, including internships.
• Strong organization, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• VDC/BIM experience is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to travel and work across North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
