Job Summary

Barton Malow Builders is seeking a Construction Senior Project Manager to lead healthcare construction work throughout the Greater Charlotte and Carolinas market.

Project Details

The portfolio includes new and renovated healthcare facilities such as community hospitals, academic medical centers, specialty clinics, and research environments, including work in active facilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct procurement, bidding strategy, subcontract development, and bid evaluations.
• Build project schedules, logistics plans, cash-flow forecasts, manpower projections, and constructability reviews.
• Establish jobsite safety expectations, coordinate field operations, manage punch lists, and support labor-relations activities.
• Oversee budgets, general conditions, cost reporting, change management, payment timing, and project profitability.
• Lead project meetings and coordinate RFIs, submittals, closeout, agency acceptance, owner equipment, and architect/engineer communications.
• Support business development, proposals, presentations, and repeat-client relationships.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of general contractor or construction management experience.
• Healthcare construction experience, ideally on projects valued at $10 million or more.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to support regional projects.
• Experience with project scheduling, cost controls, subcontract procurement, and construction coordination.
