Construction Superintendent

Job Summary

AOI Corp is hiring a Construction Superintendent to lead ground-up and tenant improvement projects across commercial markets including office, restaurant, retail, and industrial in the Omaha, Nebraska area.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule construction phases based on specifications, staffing needs, and project timelines.
• Direct daily field operations for AOI employees and subcontractors on site.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings and site inspections, documenting findings in Procore.
• Lead weekly scheduling meetings with the project manager, subcontractors, and inspectors.
• Prepare daily progress reports, two-week rolling schedules, and all field paperwork including purchase orders, change orders, and timecards.
• Track changes on a Redline Set and assist with project closeout.
• Train apprentices, carpenters, and new lead supervisors in technical skills, safety, and daily documentation.
• Serve as the first point of contact during OSHA inspections and maintain jobsite security.
• Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks as needed depending on project scope.

Required Experience

• Minimum 3 years of commercial carpentry experience; interior commercial carpentry preferred.
• Valid Iowa or Nebraska driver's license.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and specifications.
• Completion of a certified apprenticeship or technical school program preferred.
• OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, and other safety certifications preferred (AOI will assist with obtaining them).
