Job Summary

Kiewit Building Group is seeking a Project Executive to provide executive oversight for multiple commercial construction teams, manage overall project performance, and lead client relationships from the regional office in Springfield, Virginia.

Project Details

The Building Group delivers vertical construction and engineering services for office buildings, industrial facilities, education and sports venues, hotels, hospitals, transportation terminals, government buildings, science and technology facilities, retail spaces, and tenant improvements. Work may include general contracting, construction management, design-build, design-assist, and turnkey development.

Responsibilities

• Direct senior management of multiple teams through preconstruction and construction.
• Oversee financial performance, schedules, construction execution, contracts, estimating, and client relations.
• Provide leadership for safety, staffing, employee development, recruiting, and retention.
• Research markets, develop business strategies, cultivate client and community relationships, and generate new opportunities.
• Lead proposal development, contract negotiations, and collaboration with clients, designers, contractors, and project teams.

Required Experience

• At least 15 years of experience in vertical construction, preferably in the local market.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, finance, or comparable related experience.
• Prior leadership experience as a Project Manager, Design Manager, Director of Estimating, or Project Director.
• Knowledge of commercial construction scheduling, contracts, subcontractor coordination, and multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Strong business development, communication, presentation, leadership, staff management, and project management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and project administration tools.
• Reliable attendance, safe work practices, and flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and varied jobsite conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $200,000-$275,000 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
