Deep Foundations Superintendent

Job Summary

Kiewit Foundations Co. is seeking a Deep Foundations Superintendent to lead field execution, crew performance, safety, quality, schedule, cost control, and team development on specialty foundation and geotechnical construction projects.

Project Details

The foundations group delivers transportation, water and wastewater, power, mining, telecommunications, building, and industrial work across the United States and Canada. Project capabilities include drilled shafts, micropiles, driven piles, auger-cast piles, soil mixing, ground improvement, support of excavation, anchors, tie-backs, and stone columns.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field operations and mentor junior superintendents and other site personnel.
• Manage subcontractor coordination, client meetings, contract administration, daily records, and project communications.
• Review labor rates, job costs, cash-flow projections, change orders, and project completion plans.
• Support performance evaluations and recommend staffing, policy, and organizational changes.

Required Experience

• At least 6 years of experience planning, scheduling, and managing deep foundation or ground improvement operations.
• At least 3 years of superintendent-level supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of ground improvement, structural deep foundations, support of excavation, foundation equipment, and concrete or grout placement.
• Experience in disciplines such as pile driving, auger-cast piles, small-diameter shafts, or micropiles.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and administrative skills with the ability to work independently.
• Reliable attendance, safe work practices, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and at varying project locations.
