Job Summary
Kiewit Energy District is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to manage technical execution, project controls, cost information, and engineering personnel on energy and process construction projects.
Project Details
Kiewit Energy supports engineering, procurement, and construction work across oil and gas, refining, chemicals, petrochemicals, biofuels, and related process industries. Project assignments may require relocation based on available work and team development needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate technical communication between project management, engineering disciplines, field teams, and clients.
- Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, revisions, and as-built documentation.
- Manage document control, procurement, schedules, cost reporting, productivity measurement, and project records.
- Coordinate work groups, support field operations, and promote jobsite safety participation.
- Lead contract administration, change order analysis, vendor and subcontract agreements, and dispute documentation.
- Train and mentor engineers and project personnel in electrical systems, project processes, and reporting requirements.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least five years of construction experience; light rail experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of underground and above-ground electrical installations, instrumentation, hazardous-location conduit, cable tray, and cable pulling.
- Experience with Primavera P6 CPM scheduling, unit man-hour performance, budget management, document control, change management, and subcontracts.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, planning, organization, safety, and deadline-management skills.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends when required and maintain reliable attendance.
