Electrical Project Manager

Job Summary

PCL Industrial Services is seeking an Electrical Project Manager in Abilene, Texas, to lead complex electrical construction work and coordinate project delivery from planning through turnover.

Project Details

The role supports large-scale mission critical, data center, industrial, power, and commercial projects with substantial self-perform electrical scopes. Work may include medium- and low-voltage distribution, underground duct banks, grounding, equipment installation, raceways, communications, instrumentation, commissioning, and startup.

Responsibilities

• Direct project execution, including planning, scheduling, procurement, workforce coordination, safety, quality, cost control, and client communications.
• Manage labor productivity, equipment, materials, forecasting, subcontractors, project reporting, document control, and change orders.
• Coordinate sequencing, work packaging, manpower planning, commissioning readiness, and turnover activities.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining schedule and commercial performance.
• Lead meetings with clients, engineers, trade partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Coach project engineers, coordinators, and field teams.
• Assist with estimating, proposals, constructability reviews, preconstruction, and business development.

Required Experience

• At least 5 years managing electrical construction projects in industrial, mission critical, power, or large commercial environments.
• Experience with self-perform electrical work on data center or mission critical projects is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent electrical trade or field leadership experience may be considered.
• Knowledge of medium- and low-voltage systems, electrical construction methods, commissioning, project controls, labor planning, contracts, risk, forecasting, and change management.
• Ability to lead complex projects, communicate with varied stakeholders, and use scheduling, estimating, and construction management software.
• Willingness to travel or relocate according to project requirements.
