Job Summary
PCL Construction is seeking an Electrical Senior Project Manager in Long Beach to lead complex construction work within its Civil West team. This employee-owned organization provides project leadership, client coordination, safety oversight, and career development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Lead project safety, environmental compliance, quality management, and job-site inspection activities.
- Coordinate with clients, trade contractors, designers, and internal stakeholders to deliver work in accordance with contracts, codes, and quality standards.
- Support estimating, proposals, presentations, and business development efforts.
- Develop or oversee the Project Execution Plan with the superintendent.
- Manage design deliverables, permitting, procurement, shop drawings, off-site production, construction, and commissioning schedules.
- Review design documents for scope, constructability, code compliance, procurement, sequencing, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Provide value engineering recommendations that improve functionality, cost, or schedule.
Required Experience
- Postsecondary education or training in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Gold Seal certification (CDN).
- Preferred: 15 or more years of progressive construction leadership experience and at least 12 months of estimating or related experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, specifications, safety, environmental, and quality management practices.
- Ability to apply construction law, building codes, insurance, bonding, and legal requirements.
- Experience with varied project delivery methods, construction sequencing, collective agreements, and multi-trade jurisdiction assignments.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary range is $170,000-$210,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
