Electrical Superintendent - Aberdeen, SD

Job Summary

Interstates is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead industrial electrical crews and coordinate field execution in the Aberdeen, South Dakota area. The role combines hands-on electrical work with crew leadership, project coordination, client communication, and safety ownership.

Project Details

Work supports industrial electrical, controls, automation, instrumentation, and operational technology projects. The position serves jobs within approximately 200 miles of Aberdeen and requires permanent local placement or relocation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate crews of approximately 3 to 15 employees.
• Work on the tools when project conditions require hands-on support.
• Coordinate cost, schedule, productivity, materials, and other project resources.
• Set the safety standard through active field participation and behavior-based safety practices.
• Build effective relationships with clients, allied trades, and project partners.
• Plan work, interpret project requirements, maintain budgets, and support successful execution.
• Coach and develop crew members while maintaining strong team culture.

Required Experience

• Experience working on industrial electrical projects and leading a crew.
• State-issued journeyman electrician license or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, around electrical hazards, and in varying outdoor conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

• $7,000 sign-on bonus and up to $5,000 in relocation assistance.
