Electrical Superintendent

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking an Electrical Superintendent in San Diego to oversee field operations, coordinate project teams and trades, and support safe, profitable project delivery within its Civil West group.

Responsibilities

• Implement site safety procedures and ensure compliance with project documentation requirements.
• Supervise, coach, train, and coordinate project personnel, subcontractors, and trade partners.
• Manage schedules, critical-path activities, three-week lookaheads, project execution planning, and constructability concerns.
• Coordinate field engineers, estimators, clients, consultants, labor representatives, and other site stakeholders.
• Monitor productivity, quality, budget performance, labor costs, risks, and contract obligations.
• Lead site meetings, resolve conflicts, maintain project records, and support customer relationships.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certificate or related undergraduate or engineering degree.
• National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation required; Gold Seal enrollment preferred.
• Approximately 10 years of progressive field supervision experience preferred, including successful construction workforce supervision.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, specifications, safety and environmental requirements, contracts, scheduling, cost reporting, and productivity.
• Ability to coordinate multiple work scopes, use scheduling software, lead meetings, resolve issues, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internal operational systems.

Compensation and Benefits
