Job Summary
Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering is seeking a senior Engineering Project Manager to lead client-facing engineering services and multidisciplinary design work from project development through Pre-FEED, FEED, and potential detailed design.
Project Details
The role supports industrial power, mineral processing, metals, energy transition, biomanufacturing, water, utilities, and related industrial facilities. Assignments may include studies, engineering estimates, proposals, EPC support, and design-build delivery.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage execution plans covering scope, deliverables, schedule, budget, staffing, and quality.
- Lead project meetings, coordinate billing, monitor performance and expenditures, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage multidisciplinary design teams and coordinate resources in a matrix organization.
- Direct proposal planning, technical scope development, estimating, schedules, and transitions between project phases.
- Maintain client relationships, address operational priorities, manage project risks, and identify follow-on opportunities.
- Provide project updates to company leadership and keep teams aligned on goals, milestones, responsibilities, and policies.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, process, electrical engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience, preferably within industrial engineering organizations.
- Preferred background includes 5 or more years in industrial design or engineering management and 5 or more years in consulting.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, analytical, organizational, and time-management capabilities.
- Ability to manage complex projects, interpret data, resolve issues, adapt to change, and develop team members.
- Regular attendance, safe work practices, and availability for overtime or weekend work when required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary is $130,000-$160,000 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off. Flexible work opportunities are available.
