Job Summary

Kiewit is hiring an Engineering Project Manager to direct technical delivery for complex water and industrial EPC programs across North America. The role connects multidisciplinary engineering, constructability, client coordination, and construction execution.

Project Details

Projects include municipal and industrial water treatment, water reuse, advanced treatment, desalination, groundwater remediation, stormwater recycling, wastewater, and biosolids treatment. The engineering group also supports related industrial markets such as power, chemical processing, bioprocessing, and advanced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams from early design through construction and commissioning.
  • Manage engineering scope, budgets, schedules, changes, project controls, and performance reporting.
  • Coordinate with construction, estimating, scheduling, clients, and senior leadership to support safe and buildable solutions.
  • Set technical strategies, communication plans, quality expectations, and risk controls.
  • Develop engineering talent, align staffing needs, and promote effective use of technology and digital tools.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
  • At least 10 years of progressive engineering experience, preferably in the water market.
  • At least 5 years leading engineering project teams in water, wastewater, industrial, or related markets.
  • Strong technical knowledge of complex water or industrial systems and experience managing engineering resources.
  • Effective communication, analytical judgment, adaptability, and knowledge of scheduling and cost management.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $135,000-$185,000 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness and assistance programs, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
