Field Engineer

Job Summary

Interstates is seeking a Field Engineer to support project delivery by coordinating technical information between engineering and construction teams on industrial electrical projects.

Project Details

Work takes place at industrial project sites throughout the United States. Assignments may last approximately 8 months to 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering and construction teams to resolve design discrepancies and align plans with field conditions.
• Review equipment submittals, shop drawings, and project specifications, and verify equipment upon delivery.
• Gather field information, maintain project design records, and support installation requirements.
• Assist with 3D/BIM coordination and document as-built conditions.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Preferred skills include Microsoft Office proficiency, clear communication, organization, ability to read blueprints and technical manuals, and ability to prioritize work.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary of $72,000–$82,000. Benefits include a 401(k) with company match, health, dental and vision coverage, paid time off, holiday pay, and end-of-fiscal-year incentives. Per diem/travel pay or FAVR program benefits may apply.
