Job Summary
PCL Construction Services is seeking a Field Engineer for its Florida Buildings Group. This role supports field operations, project documentation, trade coordination, safety, quality, and workforce planning in a collaborative, employee-owned organization.
Responsibilities
- Support superintendents and project engineers with trade contractor coordination, RFIs, shop drawings, changes, billings, and document control.
- Coordinate workforce planning and assist with self-perform operations, including crew sizing, labor tracking, and quantity reporting.
- Lead or support inspections, orientations, hazard corrections, third-party reviews, and site issue resolution.
- Help implement quality plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
- Mentor field engineers, students, and interns while building effective relationships with project partners.
Required Experience
- Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Internship or up to approximately one year of field engineer or coordinator experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction specifications, methods, self-perform and subcontracted work, temporary works, equipment, and scheduling.
- Strong technical writing, verbal communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction-related software.
