Field Engineer Kiewit Nuclear Solutions Aiken SC

Job Summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is hiring a Field Engineer to support engineering and construction execution on active DOE and advanced nuclear projects in Aiken, South Carolina. The position works closely with project management, construction crews, subcontractors, and project controls teams.

Project Details

This role is based full time at an active DOE construction site in Aiken, with daily on-site attendance required. Field Engineers may support mechanical, electrical, or civil/structural disciplines and may relocate to other project locations as business needs change.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications and support field layout, surveying, and as-built records.
• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, work packages, quantities, schedules, and production reporting.
• Participate in safety meetings, job hazard analyses, toolbox talks, and jobsite safety reviews.
• Maintain RFIs, daily reports, correspondence, project records, schedule updates, cost tracking, and job-cost reports.
• Assist with change orders, contract administration, procurement, subcontract administration, quantity takeoffs, risk analysis, and estimate development.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• 2–5 or more years of construction field experience supporting engineering or construction activities.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and contract documents, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to pass a security background check for facility access are required.
• Must be able to work in active construction environments, including overtime and weekends when needed, and maintain reliable attendance.
