Field Engineer - Primoris Heavy Civil - Abilene, TX

Job Summary

Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking a Field Engineer to support field execution and technical coordination on a heavy highway project in Abilene, Texas.

Project Details

The role supports road and highway construction. Primoris Heavy Civil also delivers transportation infrastructure work including ports, airfields, rail, and marine projects.

Responsibilities

• Work with field leaders to check construction against plans and specifications and help resolve issues with inspectors.
• Track installed quantities, maintain daily job records, and provide quantity information for estimates and project reporting.
• Support scheduling with three-week look-ahead plans and coordinate timely material deliveries.
• Assist with permits, subcontractor and supplier coordination, timesheets, project documentation, and cost tracking.
• Identify job hazards and work with the safety team to reduce risks.

Required Experience

• Two to four years of construction engineering or a construction management degree, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Working knowledge of surveying methods, construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and engineering standards.
• Ability to support submittals, change order tracking, cost codes, billing review, and project documentation.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to projects and ability to meet the physical demands of active construction sites.
