Job Summary

Weeks Marine is seeking a Field Engineer to support marine construction operations in the South/Gulf Region. This mid-level field role reports to the Project Manager and combines site leadership, engineering support, project controls, and contract administration.

Project Details

Weeks Marine delivers marine, dredging, tunneling, and related heavy civil work for private and government clients. The position may be assigned to projects at varying locations and site conditions throughout the South/Gulf Region.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Calculate installed quantities, support surveying and layout, and compile as-built information.
• Prepare work plans, work packages, job hazard analyses, and project records.
• Coordinate work groups, material deliveries, schedules, subcontractors, and field operations.
• Support safety reviews, toolbox meetings, training, and jobsite safety initiatives.
• Perform takeoffs, engineering calculations, drafting, purchasing support, cost tracking, schedule updates, and change-order preparation.
• Maintain daily reports, photographs, RFIs, correspondence, and other project documentation.

Required Experience

• Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• One to three or more years of construction field experience.
• Experience in engineering and leading engineers, with the ability to review plans, specifications, and contract documents for discrepancies.
• Strong communication, organization, time-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to access all areas of a construction site and work safely in varied climates and environments.
• Reliable attendance, willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed, and demonstrated commitment to ethics, integrity, safety, and quality.

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation is $66,000-$77,000 per year. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, wellness and employee assistance programs, life and disability insurance, retirement plans with matching, and paid time off.
