Job Summary
Kiewit Foundations Co. is seeking an entry-level Field Operations Technician to support construction operations, project controls, and field engineering activities on complex geotechnical projects.
Project Details
The team self-performs foundation and geotechnical work across North America, supporting transportation, water and wastewater, power, mining, and telecommunications projects in varied locations and site conditions.
Responsibilities
- Interpret plans and specifications, calculate installed quantities, and support field surveying and layout.
- Help develop work plans, work packages, and job hazard analyses.
- Participate in safety reviews, toolbox meetings, training, and other jobsite safety activities.
- Coordinate material deliveries and provide field support for subcontractor operations.
- Compile project data for customers, vendors, subcontractors, agencies, and internal teams.
- Maintain daily reports, photographs, project records, and correspondence.
Required Experience
- Associate degree in construction or a related field.
- Prior construction experience is preferred, along with a strong interest in construction operations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, strong communication skills, and ability to work independently or on a team.
- Must be able to work onsite, travel and relocate nationally, and work overtime or weekends when required.
Compensation and Benefits
Base compensation is $60,000-$70,000 annually. Full-time employees may receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life and disability insurance, retirement matching, and paid time off.
