Field Superintendent

Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Field Superintendent to oversee a major portion of field operations on a data center project in Tucson, Arizona. The role may lead a smaller project or report to a Project Superintendent.

Project Details

Support the Southwest Business Unit on a data center construction project in Tucson.

Responsibilities

• Direct field work to meet contract requirements, plans, specifications, schedule, and trade standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site logistics, layout, labor, equipment, materials, cleanup, and jobsite safety.
• Monitor costs, labor quantities, equipment use, payments, and project documentation; coordinate cost updates with the Project Manager.
• Help develop and maintain project schedules, prepare two-week look-ahead plans, and document delays and extra work.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings, respond to RFIs in the field, and communicate project issues and status to the Project Manager.
• Maintain productive working relationships with owners, architects, vendors, subcontractors, labor representatives, and authorities.

Required Experience

• At least three years of project construction experience, including experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Data center experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, prioritization, problem-solving, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Apple products; Procore, JDE, and Asta experience is preferred.
