FieldOffice Engineer MEC Industrial (Entry Level)

Job Summary

Mass Electric Construction is seeking an entry-level Field Office Engineer for its industrial construction operations. This role supports field teams with technical coordination, project controls, planning, and material management.

Project Details

MEC Industrial delivers self-performed industrial construction work across the United States. Assignments may be located in large cities or smaller communities and are determined by project needs.

Responsibilities

• Support field engineering, cost control, scheduling, quantity tracking, estimating, and supervision of field activities.
• Review plans and specifications, calculate material requirements, and assist with material pricing and procurement.
• Maintain records covering progress, costs, material usage, and other project information.
• Coordinate with suppliers and help expedite material deliveries.
• Investigate construction issues and incidents and recommend appropriate solutions.

Required Experience

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in construction management, construction engineering, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum overall GPA of 2.7.
• Working proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to access all areas of a construction site and work safely in varied climates and environments.
• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively, including overtime and weekends when required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation is $82,000-$96,000 per year, with actual pay varying by education, experience, skills, and location. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, vision, wellness, employee assistance, life insurance, disability, retirement matching, and paid time off benefits.
