Project Details

Work includes installation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas pipelines, mains, and service lines in Maryland. The employer specializes in utility construction, including underground and overhead infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Direct crews, assign daily work, and coordinate equipment and material needs.
• Read plans and work orders, monitor construction quality, and address field issues.
• Lead safety meetings, enforce applicable procedures, and maintain daily work and equipment records.
• Operate or oversee heavy equipment and communicate with project teams, clients, and crews.
• Train and support crew members.

Required Experience

• At least five years of natural gas distribution construction and maintenance experience, including two years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Knowledge of gas pipeline installation, repair, and safety requirements, including DOT regulations and 49 CFR Part 192.
• Ability to interpret construction plans and operate heavy equipment safely.
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; CDL preferred.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Must be able to work outdoors in varied weather and lift up to 50 pounds.
