General Superintendent

Job Summary

PCL Industrial Construction Co. is seeking a General Superintendent in Houston to provide field leadership across complex industrial construction work, guide project teams, and uphold strong standards for safety, quality, and execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead field teams across multiple projects and direct critical-path schedule activities.
• Develop and implement project execution plans, work plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, scheduling, cost control, and complex construction scopes.
• Provide expertise on construction methods and equipment such as formwork systems and cranes.
• Review contract and subcontract requirements and support constructability and problem-solving efforts.
• Build customer relationships and support district pursuits, including bid presentations.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certificate, postsecondary diploma, or engineering degree in a related field.
• 20 or more years of progressive field supervision experience preferred.
• At least two years as a General Superintendent with a record of successful project leadership preferred.
• Expert knowledge of construction materials, specifications, methods, contracts, risk management, and company operations.
• Strong leadership, coordination, conflict-resolution, problem-solving, relationship-management, safety, and environmental skills.
