Job Summary
Kiewit Power Constructors is seeking a mid-level Field Engineer to support on-site construction leadership, safety, quality, reporting, and field engineering activities at a power project in Homer City, Pennsylvania.
Project Details
Kiewit Power Constructors delivers union-built power generation and solar EPC projects throughout North America. This position is assigned to the Homer City project site.
Responsibilities
- Interpret plans and specifications, calculate installed quantities, support surveying, and prepare work plans and job hazard analyses.
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, material deliveries, schedules, and field operations.
- Maintain project records including daily reports, photographs, RFIs, correspondence, as-built information, and cost data.
- Support takeoffs, engineering calculations, procurement, subcontracts, change orders, estimating, and project schedule updates.
- Participate in safety meetings, inspections, training, and jobsite reviews.
Required Experience
- At least three years of construction field experience and experience working in engineering or leading engineers.
- Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents and identify discrepancies.
- Strong communication, organization, initiative, teamwork, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work safely across construction sites and in varying climates, including overtime and weekends when required.
