HSE Coordinator

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking an HSE Coordinator in Fort Lauderdale to support project health, safety, and environmental programs. The role helps project teams maintain regulatory compliance, strengthen safe work practices, and promote positive relationships across the workforce.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of project HSE and environmental plans, regulatory requirements, and safe work practices.
• Help deliver project-specific training, hazard identification tools, emergency response procedures, and security requirements.
• Conduct HSE inspections, track corrective actions, and monitor contractor safety compliance.
• Review trade documentation and verify required equipment and tool inspections are completed and recorded.
• Notify stakeholders of incidents and assist with investigations.
• Share HSE information and trends, support action plans, and build effective relationships with project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Working toward a bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Working toward a safety designation.
• At least three years of experience in a related industry.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety, environmental legislation, HSE processes, construction practices, and terminology.
• Strong communication, presentation, coaching, mentoring, stakeholder relationship, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to adopt new technology.
