HSE Coordinator

Job Summary

PCL Construction is seeking an HSE Coordinator to support civil construction projects in Phoenix. The role assists with project health, safety, and environmental programs while developing practical field experience in a collaborative, employee-owned organization.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of project HSE, environmental, emergency response, and security plans.
• Help deliver project-specific training and communicate safety trends and corrective action plans.
• Conduct field inspections, track corrective actions, and verify equipment and tool inspection records.
• Review trade contractor documentation and monitor compliance with project safety requirements.
• Assist with incident notifications and investigations while maintaining effective relationships with project stakeholders and craft personnel.

Required Experience

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or diploma in occupational health and safety.
• Working toward a safety designation.
• At least one year of related industry experience.
• Strong communication, presentation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn construction processes, occupational health and safety requirements, environmental legislation, and HSE procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort adopting new technology.
