HSE Supervisor

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services, Inc. is seeking an HSE Supervisor in Denver to oversee health, safety, and environmental activities on construction projects while supporting project teams and developing field safety personnel.

Responsibilities

• Implement project HSE plans, regulatory requirements, safe work practices, and district communication strategies.
• Develop and deliver project-specific HSE training and support broader district training initiatives.
• Lead inspections, review trade safety plans, and monitor trade partner HSE performance.
• Evaluate hazards, emergency response plans, security requirements, environmental plans, and corrective actions.
• Participate in incident investigations and recommend improvements for systemic issues.
• Supervise, coach, train, and mentor HSE Coordinators and other employees.
• Maintain productive relationships with project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in occupational health and safety or a related field.
• Recognized safety designation and at least seven years of health and safety experience in a related industry.
• Two years of supervisory experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety, environmental legislation, HSE processes, construction methods, and terminology.
• Strong communication, presentation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and Microsoft Office skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range is $93,000-$121,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
