Job Summary
Kiewit is seeking an Industrial Superintendent to lead field teams and self-perform electrical construction work across industrial and water projects. The role oversees craft execution, coordinates engineering and construction stakeholders, and maintains strong safety and quality performance while traveling to project sites nationwide.
Project Details
The Industrial District delivers direct-hire construction for data centers, mineral processing, energy, water, and other complex industrial projects throughout the United States, from smaller capital improvements to major EPC work.
Responsibilities
- Direct electrical, mechanical, civil, and structural field scopes while supervising foremen and craft personnel.
- Manage productivity, safety, quality, schedule compliance, labor planning, materials, equipment, and cost controls.
- Coordinate field engineering, project management, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, clients, and other superintendents.
- Resolve construction, staffing, employee-relations, and scheduling issues with appropriate project leadership support.
- Develop short- and long-range schedules, coordinate deliveries and inspections, and maintain project quality standards.
- Provide safety training and ensure company procedures, workplace conduct standards, and project requirements are followed.
Required Experience
- At least five years of self-perform construction experience, including three or more years as a Superintendent managing foremen and electrical craft employees.
- Knowledge of state journeyman-to-apprentice licensing ratios for electrical work.
- Advanced understanding of construction safety, scheduling, cost control, drawings, procurement, and estimating.
- Strong craft supervision, evaluation, communication, leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable attendance, professional teamwork, safe work practices, and availability for overtime and weekends when needed.
