Kiewit Building Group FieldOffice Engineer (Entry Level)

Job Summary

Kiewit Building Group is hiring an entry-level FieldOffice Engineer to support construction operations through field coordination, project administration, estimating, and technical work. The position offers hands-on development within a large national contractor.

Project Details

The Building Group delivers vertical construction across office, healthcare, education, sports, hospitality, government, science and technology, retail, industrial, transportation, and interior improvement projects throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Interpret contract documents, support field layout and surveying, calculate installed quantities, and help prepare work plans.
• Assist with safety reviews, hazard analyses, toolbox meetings, material scheduling, and coordination of jobsite work groups.
• Perform takeoffs, basic engineering calculations, drafting, cost-system updates, project records, RFIs, submittals, and change-order support.
• Support purchase orders, subcontracts, bid reviews, cost analysis, and subcontractor operations.
• Help supervise field activities and contribute to project reporting and as-built documentation.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction or an engineering-related discipline.
• Strong communication, organization, initiative, teamwork, time management, and attention to detail.
• Leadership experience and the ability to work independently in demanding jobsite environments.
• Internship experience is preferred.
• Must be able to access all areas of construction sites, work in varying climates, and maintain reliable attendance.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to assignments in cities of different sizes across the country.

Compensation and Benefits
