Kiewit Energy OGC Field Engineer 1

Job Summary

Kiewit Energy is seeking an entry-level Field Engineer 1 to support field operations on complex oil, gas, chemical, refining, petrochemical, biofuel, and other process-industry EPC projects.

Project Details

Assignments may include carbon capture facilities, liquefied natural gas plants, ammonia, hydrogen, renewable diesel, and related industrial projects. Project locations can span the United States and other parts of North America, with frequent relocation based on where work is underway.

Responsibilities

• Translate drawings, specifications, and 3D models into work plans and packages for field crews.
• Monitor safety compliance, installation progress, material deliveries, quality inspections, and testing records.
• Support project controls, client reporting, schedule updates, change orders, subcontractor coordination, site logistics, and design-procurement interfaces.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, review plans and specifications, analyze project information, and assist with bid preparation.
• Work safely and productively, including overtime and weekends when project needs require.

Required Experience

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Ability to travel, relocate frequently, and access all areas of active construction sites in varying environments.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, problem-solving, initiative, and leadership skills.
• Industrial or heavy civil construction experience is preferred.
• Commitment to safety, ethics, teamwork, quality, and meeting deadlines.
